If you have education, training, or work
experience relevant to the program in which you enroll, you may be
eligible to receive credit for prior learning. Thompson Institute will
evaluate your request and determine whether credit can be applied toward
your program requirements. Although Thompson Institute cannot guarantee
the transferability of credit from any of these sources, we will
consider:
- Credit earned through the College-Level Examination Program® (CLEP)
- Military training and work experience (experiential learning)
- Credit earned from accredited postsecondary institutions
- Various certification exams
Upon evaluation of official transcript(s)
from your prior schools, credit may be awarded for courses successfully
completed with a grade of "C" or better at another accredited
postsecondary institution where course content and credit values are
comparable to those offered by Thompson Institute. The course
descriptions, objectives, and outcomes will be evaluated, and core/major
courses must apply to the program for which the credit will be applied.
Transcripts
from foreign institutions must be translated into English, and courses
must meet the same requirements as domestic institutions to be
considered for transfer credit.
You can use prior learning credit
for up to 50 percent of your program requirements. If you are
transferring from another Kaplan Higher Education institution, you must
complete at least 25 percent of the course credit at Thompson Institute
to graduate.
